MOTHER JONES magazine did an interview with Saul Alinsky back in the summer 1968 I think it was and I remember him saying that 7% could change elections and that 7% of the population could overwhelm governments ability to control the country.
Still, 7% is between ten and twenty million people depending on whether one goes with registered voters or with the population.

Yes, the problem is D.C., the bootlicker shills for D.C. (Hi dionysus...er I mean Skinner. When is the next purge?), the lobbyists that make D.C. look like a cathouse, and unfortunately "We The People" that should be marching on Washington with plenty of rope in hand. The former contribute nothing to this country except the status quo: by lining their pockets while doing little to help real America. The latter need to get off their asses, make real change happen...even if that means politically shutting down the USA for a few weeks-months... even if that means making OWS look like a Sunday stroll in the park.
