Aurora Wind
While the rest of the country has moved on to more important things like eating chicken there is a community that is still in pain. Some survivors are facing massive medical bills (go USA!!!)
I started writing this about 3 days after. I'm not 100% happy with it but it conveys the feeling that I was trying to express. Maybe in a few months I will return to it when I am less emotional. Please feel free to copy - share - whatever. I'll keep it up for a couple of months. This is a MP3 320 so the audio quality is decent. If there are some purists out there I'd be happy to put up a 1411 WAV file. Thanks for listening.

RE: Aurora Wind
That's really beautiful and haunting. Excellent. I know things around there must still be very raw. I must admit that I'm a little nervous about the first time I walk into a movie theatre after what happened. It's so sad. And the medical bills are criminal.

Oh, that's lovely and yes, haunting. The whole situation is just too weird and I can't imagine what it must be like to live there. I just took a quick look at the Denver Post and all I can say about that is, "don't."

I'm really glad you liked it. It plays in my head so much that I can't look at it objectively so an outside opinion is nice to receive. I intentionally have avoided taking my camera when I visit but maybe I'll take one over this week so people can see that things have not quieted down yet. How this story played out on a national level was soooo predictable. I have to say that the local media has been very respectful. They knew the names of the victims a couple of days before they were released but they kept it quiet out of respect for the families (and the police). Again. Thank you What will you do today that you will remember tomorrow? |

You can see how it has become two different worlds when you compare the story on the national level. It is quite sad. What will you do today that you will remember tomorrow? |
