What really happened with "Fast and Furious"s

The article below should be required reading for anyone who is interested in the truth regarding "Fast and Furious". Once again the GOP are manufacturing a story and using it to further their political aspirations and they don't care whose hide they burn to accomplish their goals. The Dems are not blameless but the true story of the investigation falls far short of the GOP allegations. In full disclosure I admit to being a friend of AZ US Attorney Dennis Burke who I never believed sanctioned any "gun walking" but was made a fall guy.

I feel very bad for people like the man you mention, US Attorney Dennis Burke.

But the big problem that this story's truth cannot solve is the fact that so few in the USA like Holder. And many of us are at a point, sad to say, where anything that smears Holder seems to be like karmic justice.

We watch "Sixty Minutes" and are told that the DOJ has prosecuted fewer people on Wall Street than at any other point in the last 20 years. Even though so many of us understand that the Wall Street executives were criminals.

We watch as the state voter-approved medical marijuana clinics are shut down, even as they provided the only bright spot of economic recovery in the rural communities here in California. Immeasurable cost to the county and state governments in terms of tax revenues and having people working.

So people HATE Holder. They are happy to see him going down. But unfortunately good people will go down with him. (And I "get" that people shouldn't be like this, but its human nature to want to have the devil's cat skinned in any manner, using any excuse, possible. Holder certainly ain't gonna be removed by Obama for not prosecuting Obama's Wall Street friends.)
