Posting because I'm lazy. Help me, Mac users, please - Andrea - 04-25-2012 06:11 PM I could probably search on the Apple site and eventually find the answer, but I think someone here might know. I got a low battery message on my magic trackpad, so changed the batteries. It isn't working. I tried my magic mouse, and it isn't working. Even my keyboard isn't working. I guess that changing the batteries interrupted the connectivity of all my wireless devices? But short of getting out an old mouse and plugging it in, is there any way to restore the connectivity? RE: Posting because I'm lazy. Help me, Mac users, please - Borneo - 04-25-2012 06:30 PM Bluetooth is being a butt. Press the magic trackpad's on switch so the green light blinks. Tap the mt and run your fingers around it. Also tap the space bar to keep your Mac from falling asleep. RE: Posting because I'm lazy. Help me, Mac users, please - Borneo - 04-25-2012 07:19 PM That work? RE: Posting because I'm lazy. Help me, Mac users, please - Andrea - 04-25-2012 07:23 PM Thanks, Borneo, but it didn't work. I can't get past the password screen, because the keyboard won't work. The curser won't move with the mt or the mouse. I'm going out to buy some more batteries. I really don't want to have to haul out an old corded keyboard and mouse. Blech. I'm going to work at Barnes and Noble for a while, and have a sweet something, and hope I can get it working when I get home. RE: Posting because I'm lazy. Criminal Minds is a repeat, I hate when that happens, Wednesday night is screwed. RE: Posting because I'm lazy. I am here now and I'm having the most delicious berry vanilla cake. I got a smoothie, too, but it's not as good. It's mango, orange and banana. It should be good, but it's kind of sour. I just realized, I am like Sheldon Cooper with his schedules: https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=jsfnk4j4gap44irc5r2dc38igc@group.calendar.google.com&ctz=Australia/Sydney&gsessionid=OK RE: Posting because I'm lazy. Help me, Mac users, please - Andrea - 04-25-2012 09:31 PM I didn't return it because I thought it was supposed to be like that. I never got one here before. I'm used to it now. Who is Sheldon Cooper? Why are you following his schedule. I don't even have a schedule anymore, for anything. I'm frustrated. Is it Mercury retrograde? I didn't make it to Staples in time to buy the batteries, no music is playing in B&N. I tried to turn on my iPod. It's dead. I tried putting my earbuds in the laptop and listening to mango, but it won't play. This is on top of the afore-mentioned connectivity problem with every input device on my desktop, which still isn't solved. This is after no sleep last night due to pain, and in conjunction with a real desire for popcorn, but I'm too full from the cake. Grrr RE: Posting because I'm lazy. I take it you do not watch the Big Bang Theory: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big_Bang_Theory It's really funny - sorry you are having problems! RE: Posting because I'm lazy. Help me, Mac users, please - Andrea - 04-25-2012 11:19 PM No, I don't like that show because of the stereotyping of the intelligent. If there was a show about say, Asians, that depicted them all as socially awkward and funny looking, it would be an outrage. But it's perfectly okay to do that to smart people. I know I'm way out of step with the majority on that. At least I have plenty of batteries now. I'll try to get things going with the desktop in the morning. For now, I'm going to poke around a bit and then watch a movie. |
