I shake my head that this got so much press.
I looked over at the DUmp yesterday and there were many threads with hundreds of snarky comments, most demeaning and berating her (no discussion of the issues when I glanced yesterday.  I do not think it does the image of Democrats any good to be obsessed with Palin--it never ends.

Palin Hand Crib Notes Attract Scrutiny

    Source: CBS News

Former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's appearance before the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville Saturday night gave plenty of red meat to the attendees, such as calling President Obama "a charismatic guy with a Teleprompter."

The thousand-plus Tea Party attendees who paid $300 to hear her speak (Palin was paid $100,000 for her appearance) probably did not glimpse Palin's own handy Teleprompter — crib notes written on her left hand.

She could be seen glancing at them during her Q&A with Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips when asked what were the top three things a Conservative majority in Congress should do.

A AP photographer's picture revealed the words "Energy," "Budget cuts" (crossed out), "Tax," and "Lift Americans Spirits" scribbled in ink on the inside of her left hand.

I think you are right, giving her too much attention in a negative way garners more support from the rabid right. I have regulated her to just annoying, doesn't matter how much she uses "crib notes" - any serious run for the WH will result in a gaff from her that would be next to impossible to recover from, she's a walking time bomb because of her arrogance and demeanor, she will trip up and believe me, it will be a big trip.

But you have to admit, it's so "high school" to write the answers on your hand before the test.

And, that is exactly what will endear her to her base. They haven't examined anything intellectually themselves since the last time their teachers made them.

I don't think there's a chance in the world that whoever pulls the strings for the republican party will allow her to be the candidate.  I don't know why she's getting so much attention now but I'm confident she'll either stop getting media attention and quietly fade away.

I don't agree with any of her policies, but I have to admit she had a point when she asked "How's that hopey changey thing working out for ya?" I damn near split my gut laughing when I heard that little sound bite on the news. ROFL

I think you are both right. I don't think TPTB would allow her the nomination under the best circumstances, but I'm sure that she'll make some enormous gaffes in the next two years that will guarantee she's out. Plus, she's probably happy enough to be a Faux News contributor. She gets plenty of attention, people think she's "great", she's making good money, has a wardrobe allowance (probably) and it's not nearly as hard or boring as being governor of Alaska, let alone President.

Plus, the White House is pretty old so it's probably not wired for a tanning bed.

You know, I think we write her off at our peril.the electorate is just silly enough to vote for her.And the more she is mocked, the more folks will rush to her defense. The problem is, it isn't 'fashionable' to be smart and Obama's triangulating isn't making it anymore popular.unfoortuntely, a lot of people actually like her. And the FOX news gig will only serve to make her more popular. Remember, they will never let her run the nation but if she can be used to get them back the WH, they will use her.And foget about gaffes making a difference. those don't matter to the gop. remeber bush/ Nothing matters to them, not diaper man. bathroom stall larry, or the cheating gov of SC. Nothing Just winning. And unfortunately , we also are now like that in many ways.
